School Fundraising Day for the Nest in Nairobi, Kenya. Thursday 24th October 2019

The Nest program reaches out to prevent the children of imprisoned mothers from fighting for survival on the streets. We rescue affected children and improve their living conditions during the imprisonment of their mothers. We rehabilitate and later reintegrate them and their released mothers with their extended families and society at large.

So please support us in raising funds for this worthy charity.

On Thursday 24th October 2019 we will be taking part in a variety of fundraising activities.

EYFS – sing a long

KS1 – Just Dance Extravaganza

LKS2 – Wacky clothes day.

UKS2 – AM – Handball / PM Disco.

All donations will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Mrs Rimmer

“Best day Ever!”

That was how the children in Lower key Stage two described our ‘Victorian Day’.

We can’t thank parents and carers enough for your support and enthusiasm in supporting the children by providing costumes , props and lots of knowledge.

We did lots of activities so please have a look at our photographs on the ‘Lower key stage two -Autumn 2019 page !

Lower key Stage 2 Victorian day

Lower key stage 2 are looking forward to our Victorian day experience this Friday. We’ve been finding out all about Queen Victoria and her nine children so this week we will be learning about what happened to Liverpool during the Victorian era and of course having a day experiencing what life was like in Victorian schools .We are looking forward to this but once again stress that we don’t want you to go to any unnecessary expense -old uniforms are an  ideal costume. If you need any help with an outfit, please let one of our team know . Many thanks

National Poetry Day

Thursday 3rd October is National Poetry Day. In school, the children will be marking this event by sharing poems , performing poems and writing them..

If you would like to join in at home , a great website is www.poetry4kids.com , it’s full of humerous poems , clips , games and even a rhyming dictionary to help your budding young poets !
