Music week was a huge success throughout the school. Staff and children worked amazingly to link music to many subjects across the curriuclum, with some also using our theme of ‘Grease’ the muscial within lessons. From Nursery through to ks2 children enjoyed learning in a range of ways
making instruments
moving to songs
discussing their likes and dislikes
creating tally charts and pie charts
debating what it would be like in the 1960s
creating performance poetry linked to a song
To end music week the whole school took part in OLI’s Got Talent which was themed around ‘Grease’ as this year is the 40th anniversary. All chidlren gave 100% to show off all their musical talents and beamed with pride as they performed. The winners of KS1 and KS2 couldn’t believe it, but everyone showed they have team spirit and celebrated greatly!
