Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Primary School

Academy conversion information for stakeholders

We are currently exploring the possibility of converting to academy status as part of a Catholic Multi Academy Trust. This process reflects the vision of Archbishop John Sherrington, who has expressed a desire for all Catholic schools to become part of academy trusts to strengthen collaboration and secure long-term sustainability. It involves careful consideration and a period of consultation with all stakeholders, including children, parents, staff, governors and parishioners, to ensure that any decision made is in the best interests of our children and wider school community.

Further information will be shared throughout the process, and we warmly welcome your views as we continue to work together in faith and partnership for the future of our school

The Archdiocese of Liverpool has set out a clear direction for all Catholic schools in the region to join St Joseph’s Catholic Multi Academy Trust as part of a phased programme of conversion. Schools are being supported to join in identified waves, and we are currently part of the first phase of this process, working closely with the Trust and the Archdiocese to plan next steps carefully and thoughtfully for our school community.
