UKS2 had a great assembly and workshop working with local poet Levi Tafari!
We used pictures and objects to find out clues about our new text. We then learnt about adjectives and nouns and used these to describe settings and characters n the story.
Today, year 3 explored images from our new class book. Working together they stepped into the images and discussed thoughts, feelings and predictions.

We welcomed parents and friends from all over the school to talk to us about a variety of careers. We listened very carefully to Mr Lawler who is a Personal Advisor. We enjoyed learning about how we can support our communities and train to also be a PA. Thank you Kenny !

“It was an absolute pleasure to spend a day with staff and children, and I feel inspired and enthused to trial ideas in my own school.”
“Comments from stakeholders’ centre around the school being ‘warm,’ ‘amazing,’ and ‘like home.’ I would fully agree with these quotes. “Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Primary School is an exceptionally inclusive school.”

Looking at fairy tales
Today in Year 4, we explored fairy tales. We paused the story just before the happy ending and talked about how the characters (and we) were feeling at that moment. Afterwards, we continued reading to discover the happy ending and discussed how our feelings changed once everything turned out well.
