Career and Aspirations Week June 2025

Thank you so much for all of our visitors to school, parents and staff who spoke to the children about possible careers and how to follow their dreams!

So many people offered their time, so much so, it ran over into two weeks! It was truly fabulous; too many people to mention here, but please look at the Chatter feed for your child’s year group and have a look at the photographs.

Subjects covered during the two weeks:

  • Going to Liverpool University – how to get there and courses you can take
  • NHS jobs – supported by staff from  Alder Hey Children’s Hospital
  • Midwifery, The Women’s Hospital – showed what the job entailed, its purpose
  • Journalism – being a news reader, writing and reporting the news and festival events
  • Police
  • Air Hostess
  • Fitness Instructor, Health and Beauty, Hairdressing
  • Being a Carer  – supporting young people, Caring for LFC Football Players, Jobs at LFC
  • Engineering – on the Railways the different jobs you can have
  • Rail Safety – keeping safe on or near the railways
  • How the RNLI works – The role of an RNLI Lifeguard and how to keep safe on Crosby Beach in the holidays
  • Being a Musician, a Mechanic, a Teacher or an Estate Agent
  • Accountancy – what is it?
  • Mechanical Engineering – working at Jaguar, developing electric vehicles
  • Marine Engineering with OEG – diving beneath the sea, jobs under water – supporting setting up offshore wind farms.

The children loved it and some have now thought of different careers and aspirations because of you!
